Congratulations to our clients on their recent achievements! On May 9, 2024, our clients successfully published a research paper in the international academic journal, Postharvest Biology and Technology. The study, “Metabolomics and transcriptomic profiles reveal membrane lipid metabolism as a key factor in sliced taro browning,” investigates the browning process in sliced taro during refrigeration.

Through a comprehensive analysis using plant wide-targeted metabolomics and transcriptomics, the research unravels the underlying mechanisms of browning in freshly-cut taro. The findings not only enhance our understanding of browning development in food products but also offer valuable insights for future research and potential strategies to prevent sliced taro browning under refrigeration conditions.

BMKGENE played a crucial role in providing specialized services for this research, including plant wide-targeted metabolomics, transcriptome sequencing, and expert bioinformatics analysis. We are proud to have contributed to this innovative study and wish to serve more research.
