For large-scale populations, we recommend using specific-locus amplified fragment sequencing (SLAF) for genome sequencing and variant detection, enabling the analysis of evolutionary relationships among different subgroups. This article serves as a valuable case study using our approach. The analysis of SNP markers revealed significant genetic variability within the Chinese population of S. nigrum, potentially contributing to its adaptation and infestation as a weed species. These findings contribute to elucidating the evolutionary narrative of our study species.
SLAF is a proprietary technology developed by BMKGENE, with over 1000 projects successfully implemented to date.
