Exciting news! BMKGENE developed BMKMANU S series spatial transcriptomics chip with cell segmentation technology aided by the high-precision analysis of the clonal evolution pattern of acral melanoma by the team of Li Hang, Zhang Ning, and Xue Ruidong from Peking University, the research has been published in Cancer Cell (IF=50.3).
The study, based on multi-omics sequencing including whole-exome, microdissected multi-regional whole-exome, bulk transcriptome, single-cell transcriptome, spatial transcriptome, and CODEX spatial proteomics, systematically revealed the clonal evolution pattern of early acral melanoma and established its molecular subtypes. By utilizing the BMKMANU S1000 spatial transcriptome cell segmentation technology, 10 acral melanoma patients were examined, confirming direct spatial interactions between APOE+/CD163+ TAMs and EMT tumor cells. Furthermore, new early diagnostic markers (driver mutations and appendage involvement) and late prognosis markers (APOE and CD163) were identified and validated, providing crucial information for early diagnosis and precision treatment of acral melanoma.
